Passenger threatens train attendant in Bitterfeld-Wolfen by claiming to carry a knife

A 29-year-old man allegedly threatened a train attendant on 18 December 2025 aboard an ICE travelling from Berlin towards Leipzig after he was found without a valid ticket. While he was meant to accompany staff to the service compartment, he insulted the employee and, according to federal police, claimed to be carrying a knife and a firearm.

The man left the train at an unscheduled stop in Bitterfeld and initially fled. Officers later located him outside Bitterfeld station. A search of him and his belongings found no prohibited or dangerous items. Reports were filed against him, including for fare evasion, insult, threats and trespass.
