Three men injured after knife defence in Bielefeld

Three men sustained stab wounds in a supermarket car park on Lippstädter Straße in Bielefeld. A 21-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries but was stabilised after emergency surgery. One 20-year-old was seriously injured, another 20-year-old was lightly injured, and a 22-year-old was uninjured.

According to the current investigation, four known men and another unidentified man are alleged to have attacked, punched and kicked the 48-year-old man. He is said to have defended himself with a knife before fleeing. He was located at his home on Thursday morning. Police and prosecutors currently consider that he acted in self-defence; the men from Ostbevern are under investigation for dangerous bodily harm.
