Teenager remanded in custody after knife attack in Biberach
A teenager is suspected of attacking a 38-year-old woman with a knife in Biberach an der Riß on Tuesday evening. Investigators said he first asked her for directions near Rosenstraße, then produced a knife and stabbed in her direction. The woman moved away in time and called for help.
A cyclist confronted the fleeing teenager, followed him and persuaded him to surrender after a short flight. Police officers arrested the suspect and secured the knife along with further evidence. At the prosecution's request, a judge ordered pre-trial detention on suspicion of attempted murder.
