Knife threat during attack on hotel guests in Berlin

At a hotel on Kaiser-Friedrich-Straße in Berlin-Charlottenburg, a group of about ten allegedly kicked and punched a 37-year-old man and a 20-year-old man in a stairwell. One group member also reportedly threatened the younger man with a weapon and a knife. The incident took place on the evening of 3 October 2026 at around 21:40; both men were taken to hospital, the 20-year-old with head and leg injuries. As the group fled the hotel, its members allegedly punched two teenage guests in the face, causing head injuries. Police detained three suspects aged 21, 21 and 28 during a search nearby. They were released after identification procedures; investigations into suspected aggravated assault and threats are continuing.
