Two men injured in knife attack in Berlin
Two men were allegedly injured by knife stabbings during a dispute on a green space on Neue Krugallee in Berlin-Baumschulenweg. Police said that at about 10 p.m. a misunderstanding developed between a 45-year-old man and a 48-year-old member of a group gathered there. The 45-year-old is alleged to have drawn a knife and stabbed the 48-year-old repeatedly; a friend of the injured man, also aged 45, was allegedly attacked with the knife when he tried to help. The 48-year-old sustained stab wounds to the upper body and was in critical condition, while the other man suffered an arm injury. Both were taken to hospital, and the 48-year-old required emergency surgery. The suspect was later arrested by a special operations unit in Berlin-Niederschöneweide; the investigation is ongoing.
