Two men injured with knives during dispute in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen

Two men aged 24 and 25 were injured with knives during a dispute outside a shopping centre on Badstraße in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen on the evening of 25 July. Police said the men had approached a larger group because the group was allegedly selling drugs there. The exchange developed into a physical confrontation involving at least four members of the group. Two people from that group allegedly attacked the men with knives, and one of the injured men also had his mobile phone taken. The group then fled towards Pankstraße. Police provisionally detained four suspects aged 18, 18, 20 and 25 nearby and seized a knife from one of them. Both injured men received hospital treatment; the 25-year-old was treated as an outpatient, while the 24-year-old was admitted and underwent surgery. Police said his injuries were not life-threatening. Investigations into aggravated robbery and illegal drug dealing are ongoing.
