Woman seriously injured in knife attack at Berlin home
Following an argument in an apartment in Berlin-Moabit, a 41-year-old man allegedly injured his 79-year-old mother multiple times with a knife. She suffered cut and stab wounds, escaped the apartment and called police with neighbours' help. Emergency personnel took her to hospital with serious injuries, where she underwent emergency surgery; authorities said she was no longer believed to be in life-threatening danger. Police arrested the man nearby shortly afterwards. Investigations into the background continue.
