Two people injured with machete in Berlin
Two 19-year-olds were attacked and injured by two unknown men during the night in Berlin-Friedrichshain. According to the initial findings, a man and a woman were walking on Jessnerstraße at about 1:30 a.m. after visiting a venue when they were allegedly first insulted.
One of the men then allegedly pulled a machete and struck the 19-year-old man on the head, causing facial injuries. The same attacker allegedly removed the machete's cover and attacked the 19-year-old woman, who suffered a cut to her head. The second unknown man allegedly also punched both victims.
Emergency services took the injured pair to hospital. The two attackers fled via Scharnweberstraße, and the state security division took over the further investigation.
