Man arrested after alleged knife attack in Berlin apartment
A 40-year-old man and a 41-year-old man became involved in a verbal dispute at about 6:15 p.m. on 1 August in an apartment on Elsenstraße in Berlin-Neukölln. The older man allegedly then inflicted life-threatening knife injuries on the younger man.
The injured man escaped to a rear courtyard with a witness, while another witness alerted police. Officers provided first aid and arrested the older man nearby. The victim underwent emergency surgery, and police later said that he was no longer in danger of dying. Criminal police took over the investigation.
