Teenager stabbed during altercation in Tiergarten
A teenager was injured in the leg with a knife during an altercation in Berlin's Tiergarten district on July 12. At about 6:10 p.m., he had first become involved in a verbal dispute and physical confrontation with several unidentified people on Kurfürstenstraße. According to the current findings, another unidentified person then joined the confrontation and stabbed him in the leg with a knife.
After a witness drew attention to the incident, the group fled toward Blumenthalstraße. Passers-by provided initial aid before emergency crews took the teenager to hospital for inpatient treatment. The stab wound was not life-threatening. A specialist unit of Police Directorate 2 is investigating.
