Man injured with plate shard after dispute in Friedrichshagen

During a dispute on Charlotte-E.-Pauly-Straße in Berlin-Friedrichshagen, a 36-year-old man allegedly stabbed his 38-year-old roommate in the neck with a shard of a plate. The confrontation took place on 4 July at about 23:30. The 38-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries and was admitted to hospital; he is reportedly no longer in danger. The suspect initially fled but was arrested nearby by emergency personnel. As he had injured his hand, he was also treated as an outpatient in hospital before being taken into police custody, and he was due to be brought before a judge. Criminal police continue to investigate.
