Officers ordered him to drop the knife, handcuffed him and took him into custody to establish his identity; he was released afterwards.

The confrontation began at around 7 pm during a football game and drew in numerous family members. Police reported that about 100 people were present before the situation calmed at around 7:20 pm. Two children reported pain but declined medical treatment. Another boy suffered a head laceration, pain and breathing difficulties and was taken to hospital for treatment.
