Man arrested after stabbing at Alexanderplatz S-Bahn station

At about 1:50 a.m. on 18 May 2025, two men became involved in a dispute in the entrance area of Alexanderplatz S-Bahn station in Berlin-Mitte. After an initially verbal confrontation turned physical, police said the 23-year-old stabbed the 31-year-old in the upper body with a knife and fled.

Police officers later arrested the suspect on Rathausstraße. They recovered a knife that he is alleged to have discarded while fleeing. The injured man received first aid and was taken to hospital for inpatient treatment; his injury was not believed to be life-threatening at first assessment. The investigation is ongoing.
