Man stabbed in Berlin-Kreuzberg
A 34-year-old man was injured by a stab wound to the abdomen and irritant spray in Berlin-Kreuzberg on 24 April. He said he had been approached by a group at around 12:30 p.m. near the junction of Skalitzer Straße and Görlitzer Straße. After he did not respond, a man from the group allegedly sprayed irritant spray into his face.
The injured man fled toward Spreewaldplatz, with the unidentified man following him by bicycle. Near the junction of Skalitzer Straße and Spreewaldplatz, the man allegedly caught up with him and stabbed him in the abdomen with a knife. The attacker fled, while the 34-year-old was taken to hospital for inpatient treatment of the stab wound and eye irritation. Police said his life was not believed to be in danger, and a specialist unit is investigating.
