Two men injured by stab wounds at underground station
On the evening of 23 February 2025, four unidentified attackers allegedly assaulted two young men on the U9 platform at Zoologischer Garten underground station in Berlin. The 20-year-old and 21-year-old were first attacked with pepper spray and then sustained stab wounds. The younger man required emergency surgery because of the severity of his injuries, although police said his life was not in danger. The older man received outpatient treatment. The attackers fled and criminal police are investigating the background to the incident.
