Elderly woman assaulted in robbery in Berlin-Weißensee
An unidentified man allegedly robbed an 84-year-old woman on the evening of 16 January in Berlin-Weißensee. Police said he grabbed her by the shoulders and pushed her to the ground on a pavement in Sulzfelder Straße. While kneeling over her, he allegedly cut the strap of her shoulder bag with a knife and took the bag. He fled towards Buschallee with personal belongings, a mobile phone and a low three-figure sum of cash. The woman was not injured, and police are continuing their search for the suspect.
