Teenager allegedly threatened residents of Berlin accommodation with knife

A teenager allegedly threatened several residents with a knife at refugee accommodation on Heerstraße in Berlin at about 10:45 p.m. on 15 January. Police said he had previously been removed from the facility after altercations with other teenagers and allegedly entered it again afterwards. He then allegedly pursued two 18-year-old men and a 57-year-old man intending to injure them in a knife attack. The three men avoided him and fled. According to police, the suspect also damaged a window and a door, announced a fire before fleeing, and was not found during a search. The investigation is ongoing.
