Man injured with knife and razor in suspected Berlin robbery

A 24-year-old man required inpatient treatment after suffering stab wounds to his torso and several cuts to his face in a suspected robbery in Berlin-Neukölln. He told police that at least five people demanded cash from him at around 6:30 p.m. on 12 January at the junction of Reuterstraße and Donaustraße. When he refused, one alleged perpetrator reportedly stabbed him in the abdomen with a knife. Other participants allegedly sprayed pepper spray into his face and used a razor to cause facial injuries before cash he had withdrawn from a bank was taken from his trouser pocket. Witnesses later saw an estimated five to six people assaulting the man at the junction of Reuterstraße and Sonnenallee. The perpetrators fled, and a specialist robbery unit is investigating.
