Man threatens another man with knife and attacks police officers

A 25-year-old man allegedly threatened a 27-year-old man with a knife in an apartment in Bergen auf Rügen early on 11 March. Police said an argument had preceded the incident after the visitor allegedly refused repeated requests to leave. He is also alleged to have hit, bitten and insulted the other man and damaged a television.

According to police, the suspect resisted officers during the operation. Outside the apartment building, he allegedly struck at one officer, spat at another and bit an officer on the arm. One officer was injured and initially unable to work. The suspect was remanded in custody after a judge issued a warrant over resistance against enforcement officers.
