Man allegedly stabbed at fellow resident twice in Beilngries

A 27-year-old and a 55-year-old became involved in an altercation at an asylum-seeker accommodation facility on Lange Gasse in Beilngries on 28 May. According to the investigation so far, the younger man pulled a knife and stabbed at the other man twice. The 55-year-old avoided the attacks and was not injured; together with another resident, he pushed the alleged attacker back. Police arrested the 27-year-old. An investigating judge subsequently ordered that he be placed in a correctional facility, and he is being investigated, among other matters, on suspicion of attempted homicide.
