Minor seriously injured with knife during altercation in Altendorf
A minor was seriously injured by a stab wound to the chest during an altercation involving teenagers and young adults in Altendorf at about 22:20 on 21 June. Two other group members sustained minor injuries, while another participant received inpatient treatment for psychogenic shock. The minor was taken to hospital after initial emergency treatment and underwent emergency surgery; the condition was described as critical.
A 21-year-old man is suspected of causing the stab injury. Pre-trial detention was ordered over urgent suspicion of attempted manslaughter and attempted murder. Police recovered a suspected weapon from nearby bushes, and investigations into the sequence of events and background continue.
