Man threatens taxi driver with knife in Bannewitz
A 22-year-old man is alleged to have forced a 57-year-old taxi driver to continue a journey in Bannewitz on 3 April by threatening him with a knife. The passenger had boarded in Dippoldiswalde and stated during the ride that he had no money. The driver initially ended the journey in Rundteil and asked him to leave.
The man is then alleged to have extorted the continuation of the journey. He got out again at the Boderitzer Straße stop after the driver referred him to a bus heading for Dresden. When the bus driver refused to take him without a ticket, he went to a fast-food restaurant and is alleged to have damaged a wooden fence and an advertising display. Police provisionally detained him and are investigating him for robbery-related extortion and theft.
