Person threatens police officers with knife in Bad Säckingen
During a police operation in a rear courtyard on Alte Basler Straße in Bad Säckingen, a person allegedly threatened police officers with a knife. Officers had been called on Sunday morning over the suspected slaughter of chickens in breach of animal-welfare rules, and a disorderly confrontation followed. Additional officers helped bring the situation under control. Seven people were provisionally detained and an unknown number of others fled. Eight chickens had already died, while a veterinarian took charge of 15 animals.
