Man seriously injured in knife attack in Augsburg
A 21-year-old and a 25-year-old man first argued and then became involved in a physical altercation outside a hair salon at Barthshof in Augsburg at about 3:45 p.m. on 20 May. A 24-year-old man, who had not previously been involved, is alleged to have intervened, drawn a knife and attacked the 25-year-old with it. The 25-year-old was seriously injured and taken to hospital. The 24-year-old initially fled but was arrested in Augsburg the following day. An investigating judge executed a warrant for his pre-trial detention on suspicion of attempted manslaughter; police are investigating the 21-year-old for bodily harm.
