Man threatens supermarket staff in Augsburg with kitchen knife
Following an alleged theft at a supermarket on Franz-Kobinger-Straße in Augsburg, a 28-year-old man is said to have threatened two employees with a kitchen knife. The employees reportedly confronted him at about 7:30 p.m. on 6 October after he put goods into a backpack and left the checkout area without paying. He initially fled but was arrested during the subsequent search. Police said nobody was injured and are investigating, among other matters, on suspicion of robbery-related theft.
