Man remanded after knife attack at Augsburg accommodation
At an asylum-seeker accommodation on Proviantbachstraße in Augsburg, a 43-year-old man is alleged to have attacked a 25-year-old fellow resident with a knife at about 1:30 p.m. on 23 June. The 25-year-old was injured and taken to hospital. The suspect fled the accommodation after the incident; officers later stopped both men near Berliner Allee and provisionally arrested the 43-year-old. At the prosecution's request, an investigating judge executed a detention order for dangerous bodily harm. Criminal police are investigating the background.
