Man seriously injured with knife during dispute in Aschaffenburg
A 24-year-old German man and a 21-year-old Polish man first argued and then fought at a supermarket car park on Lange Straße in Aschaffenburg at around 20:00 on Saturday. Police say the 24-year-old allegedly pulled a knife and used it against the other man. The 21-year-old was seriously injured, taken to hospital after initial treatment by an emergency doctor, and later discharged; according to current findings, his injuries were not life-threatening. Officers provisionally detained the suspect near a car and secured the suspected weapon. An investigating judge ordered pre-trial detention on urgent suspicion of attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm.
