Switchblade used during robbery-related theft in Apolda

Following the theft of food from a Rewe store in the Marktpassage in Apolda, a man allegedly threatened two employees with a switchblade on 25 April. When the employees stopped him on the market square after he had left the checkout area, he allegedly pulled the knife and made several stabbing motions towards them. He told the two employees to go away. No one was injured. After police established the suspect's identity using surveillance footage, he was provisionally detained in Apolda on 26 April and was due to be brought before a judge.
