Senior injured in Annaberg-Buchholz robbery
A man is alleged to have attacked a 74-year-old man at his home in Annaberg-Buchholz on Friday afternoon, causing stab and cut injuries. He then tied up the victim and demanded money. When the victim's 70-year-old wife arrived home, she too was threatened and overpowered. The offender took her to a bank, where she withdrew cash and handed it over, before stealing the victims' car and fleeing. Both victims were admitted to hospital. Police located a 31-year-old suspect in Chemnitz the following morning and found suspected proceeds on him.
