Man critically injured in Wuppertal after suspected knife stabbing
A 26-year-old man suffered a deep stab wound to the upper body on Menninghauser Straße in Wuppertal at about 23:10 on 7 June. Police said the incident followed a verbal altercation with two men. The life-threatening injury was reportedly caused with a knife, and the man was flown by helicopter to a specialist clinic in Bochum. Prosecutors and police established a homicide investigation unit. Investigators are also examining whether a woman was involved.
