Suspect remanded in custody after attack with pointed object
A 24-year-old suspect is accused of attacking a 20-year-old man on Juliuspromenade in Würzburg on 20 November. Investigators say he threatened the man with a bottle and a pointed object, injured him on the buttock and took several hundred euros in cash from his jacket pocket. The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital. The suspect initially fled but was identified through criminal police inquiries and later arrested. An investigating judge upheld an arrest warrant on urgent suspicion of aggravated robbery, and the man remains in pre-trial detention.
