Man remanded in custody after stabbing in Wolgast
A 57-year-old man was found with a major neck injury at his home in Wolgast during the night of 27 January. He told police that an acquaintance had stabbed him in the neck with a knife after he opened his apartment door. The injured man was taken to hospital and underwent emergency surgery; police later reported that he was no longer in danger of death. A 35-year-old suspect was located during the search and remanded in pre-trial detention after a court hearing on suspicion of manslaughter. The investigation is continuing.
