Man threatens young woman with knife in Wittmund
A 20-year-old man allegedly struck a 19-year-old in the face in Wittmund town centre on 18 April and threatened the man's 19-year-old companion with a knife. Later, he allegedly hit and kicked a 23-year-old taxi driver outside a pizzeria in Dornum over an inability to pay. The taxi driver sustained minor injuries. Officers found the man after he fled, and he was held in police custody overnight because of his aggressive behaviour. Criminal proceedings were initiated.
