Man injured with kitchen knife in Wittlich
At about 6:40 a.m. on 2 November, a verbal dispute between a 32-year-old man and a 19-year-old began at Schloßplatz in Wittlich. During the ensuing physical confrontation, the younger man allegedly attacked him with a kitchen knife, causing a stab wound to the rib area. The injured man was treated in hospital and released the following day. The suspect initially fled but was arrested on 19 November after investigative and search measures. A judge confirmed an existing remand order, and the 19-year-old was taken to a juvenile detention facility. Investigations into the motive are continuing.
