Woman seriously injured in knife attack in Witten
A 65-year-old woman called police in Witten at 14:17 on 22 August after disputes with her partner allegedly culminated in a knife attack. She is reported to have suffered serious, possibly life-threatening injuries. Officers arrested the 70-year-old suspect on Dirschauer Straße and administered first aid to the woman. Emergency services took her to hospital for further treatment. A homicide unit was assigned because of the severity of the injuries, and the circumstances of the attack are under investigation.
