Knife threat at Witten railway station
A 19-year-old man is alleged to have pushed his 20-year-old former partner into the track area at Witten railway station and then threatened her with a knife. According to the woman, this prevented her from leaving the danger area.
A freight train made an emergency stop to avoid striking her. She was uninjured and left the track area with help from security staff. Federal police later found the man, seized a folding knife from him and provisionally detained him. Criminal proceedings were initiated.
