Two injured after attack with pointed object in Wismar
Two young men were injured during an altercation near the Schwedenfest in Wismar on the night of 16 to 17 August. Police said a 19-year-old festival visitor is suspected of injuring both men in the dispute with a pointed object, thought to have been a knife, to the upper body or under the arm. Both men were taken to hospital with cut or stab injuries and were released later that night. Officers later found the suspect at his home address and provisionally detained him; two knives were seized during a search. The investigation concerns suspected dangerous bodily harm.
