Man seriously injured in altercation in Wettenberg
A 31-year-old man was seriously injured in Wettenberg after suffering multiple cut injuries to his head and upper body during an altercation. Police and emergency responders found him on the evening of 9 April near an allotment garden on Marburger Straße in Wißmar and took him to hospital after initial treatment.
Investigators said the injured man and the 34-year-old suspect knew each other and that an argument allegedly preceded the use of a knife. The suspect had called emergency services himself, returned while the response was under way and was arrested. A judge ordered his remand in custody on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm.
