Man seriously injured in knife attack in Werne
At about 15:30 on 15 June, a violent altercation occurred between two men on Beethovenstraße in Werne. A 29-year-old suspect allegedly attacked the 40-year-old man with a knife and seriously injured him. The suspect initially fled but was arrested shortly afterwards in Nordkirchen. At the prosecution's request, a judge ordered pre-trial detention on suspicion of attempted murder in conjunction with dangerous bodily harm. The background is still under investigation.
