Resident injures wheelchair user with kitchen knife in Weiding
A 77-year-old resident of a supported living facility is alleged to have attacked a 59-year-old wheelchair user with a kitchen knife in Weiding on 25 January, inflicting several stab wounds. The man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was treated in hospital. Care staff restrained the suspect until police arrived, and he was arrested. Investigators are handling the case as attempted homicide. A judge issued a detention order for placement, after which the 77-year-old was taken to a psychiatric hospital.
