Man remanded after sword attack in Walzbachtal
A 38-year-old man allegedly entered the Walzbachtal home of his former partner's new partner early on 14 December. Inside, he encountered the 36-year-old woman and her 44-year-old partner. Police and prosecutors said the accused threatened both with a sword and allegedly repeatedly said he would kill them. The 44-year-old blocked a blow from the weapon, sustaining minor injuries to his hand, and then fled into the street. The woman was not injured. Officers arrested the man in the street. A judge ordered pre-trial detention on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm, and the investigation is continuing.
