Cyclist threatened with knife in Viernheim
The driver of a black Mercedes is alleged to have endangered two cyclists in Viernheim on 30 May. According to police, shortly before the Heinrich-Lanz-Ring and Adolf-Damaschke-Straße roundabout, the vehicle moved toward the first cyclist, who then fell into bushes. The driver later stopped on the Saarlandstraße bridge, took a small knife from the boot and held it toward the second cyclist when he tried to photograph the licence plate. The driver took the cyclist's smartphone, threw it over a noise barrier and drove onto the A6 via an illegal motorway exit. Police said no information about the driver or the registration plate was available.
