Man threatens taxi driver with knife in Velbert
An unknown man is alleged to have attempted to rob two taxi drivers at a taxi rank in Velbert early on Saturday. He first demanded that a 57-year-old driver hand over his wallet. He then demanded money from a 63-year-old taxi driver while displaying a knife. Neither driver complied. The man fled, and a search did not locate him. Police are investigating and seeking witnesses.
