Man remanded in custody after stabbing in Ulm

A 49-year-old man is alleged to have stabbed his 41-year-old opponent in the upper body with a knife in a residential area of Ulm's Böfingen district at around 9:30 p.m. on 14 January. The incident was preceded by a verbal argument that allegedly escalated. Both men were injured and taken to hospital, while the 41-year-old was not considered to be in danger of dying. The suspect was provisionally arrested. A judge later executed a detention order on urgent suspicion of attempted manslaughter in conjunction with dangerous bodily harm.
