Man threatens petrol station employee in Uelzen with knife
A masked man is alleged to have threatened an employee at a petrol station on Celler Straße in Uelzen with a knife on Tuesday morning and demanded cash. The employee handed over several hundred euros. The man initially fled by bicycle towards the town centre. Following a search, police stopped and arrested a 41-year-old suspect near the railway station at about 10 a.m.; evidence was seized during a subsequent search of his home. The investigation is ongoing.
