Bladed weapon used in Überlingen robbery
A 22-year-old man is suspected of robbing a 20-year-old in Überlingen early on Sunday and demanding money while displaying a bladed weapon. After the 20-year-old refused, a physical confrontation allegedly followed in which the suspect struck the man while he was on the ground. The suspect then allegedly fled with a stolen bank card. Police detained him shortly afterwards, and a judge ordered pre-trial detention on suspicion of aggravated robbery. Investigators are still examining the precise sequence of events and whether the two men knew each other beforehand.
