Man remanded after machete attack in Tirschenreuth
An altercation involving four men took place outside a beverage store on Mitterteicher Straße in Tirschenreuth on 23 March. During the dispute, a 41-year-old man attacked a 38-year-old man with a machete, injuring his hand. The suspected attacker was then also injured by the other man. Both were taken to hospital. Criminal police are investigating, including on suspicion of attempted homicide. An investigating judge issued an arrest warrant for the 41-year-old, who was taken to a correctional facility.
