Man threatens couple with knife in Straubing
An unknown man allegedly threatened an elderly couple in their Straubing apartment with a knife and demanded money on 27 January. After searching the apartment, he fled without any proceeds when a 75-year-old neighbour who had heard calls for help intervened. The resident, the neighbour and a care worker who was present sustained minor injuries and received medical treatment at the scene. The search has so far been unsuccessful, and criminal police are investigating.
