Son held in custody after knife attack on father in Stade
A 59-year-old man was seriously injured in a knife attack in Stade during the night leading into 25 October 2026. His 24-year-old son is suspected of the attack, which reportedly followed a family dispute. The father got out of the house with his partner and called the police. Emergency workers took him to hospital, where his condition was described as stable. A special police unit arrested the son, who was still armed, inside the house. An arrest warrant on suspicion of attempted murder was issued on 26 October; the investigation continues.
