Two men critically injured in knife attack in Solingen
Two men were critically injured by knife wounds during a dispute on Konrad-Adenauer-Straße in Solingen on Wednesday afternoon. Investigators said a 46-year-old man allegedly first attacked a 48-year-old man. A 52-year-old man was also attacked when he tried to intervene. Both injured men were taken to hospital for surgery. Police overpowered the 46-year-old after he failed to put down the knife despite being ordered to do so; officers had first used a conducted energy device. Prosecutors and a homicide investigation team are investigating suspected attempted homicide. The operation caused significant traffic disruption around Konrad-Adenauer-Straße.
